So I had been seeing this DIY slime all over pinterest and decided to find out for myself if it worked. I used Borax, water, and clear Elmer's glue. I mixed equal parts glue and water, and then in another bowl borax and water. After that I slowly started adding the borax solution into the glue solution. At first it kept just tearing apart, and was not like a slime substance at all. I added more borax and it got worse, so I added more glue and it didn't do anything. Then I added water and sure enough it totally turned into perfect slime consistency. Then I started to knead it with my hands and it dried out and started breaking easily again. So in order for this to stay as the right slime consistency and stretch you have to keep adding water. I would say that yes it works, but it's kind of faulty, you have to keep up with adding water in very often. RATINGS: Messiness: 6/10 I chose this score because when the mixtures are in bowls it isn't very messy, It's very easy to mix and keep in the bowls. When I got into the part where I had to handle it, it got messier sticking to my hands and everything it touched. Simplicity: 10/10 Super easy three ingredients, very hard to mess up, if you add too much of something, you can just add more of something else. Fun: 9/10 Even though its a childish craft but I could not stop playing with it. Overall: 8/10 Would I do it again: yes |
