This week I made hot glue snowflakes. All you need is parchment paper, a hot glue gun, and hot glue. All supplies are very easy to find. So this project was really really quick and easy.
The first thing you need to do is lay out some parchment paper onto a a hard surface, then you just hot glue lines and dots and make whatever shape you want. Remember every snowflake is different so they don't have to be perfect. Then you wait for them to harden and then carefully unattach them from the parchment paper. They peel of very easily, so just be careful if you have thin part to make sure they don't rip off.
This pin was kind of anti climatic. I'm a little unimpressed. I guess I should have known that it would be easy. I also don't really know what to do with them. They were fun to make, it took a while though. Also It was a bit difficult to achieve the shape I was going for. While I was trying to add onto the snowflakes they kept coming off of the parchment paper. I know if you want to use them as decorations you can paint them with nail polish or put glitter on them, but I didn't have anything to do with them so I didn't. They also don't stick to windows, which I was kind of expecting to happen. I know people directly glued them on a window, but I was afraid that the hot glue would break my windows. So I mean I'm not sure what you could do with them.
RATINGS:
Messiness: 3/10 This wasn't messy. Just hot glue gun strings everywhere, but you can kind of control how many hot glue gun strings end up being made.
Simplicity: 9/10 This was extremely simple, and didn't take very much time.
Fun: 7/10 It was kind of hard and frustrating to get the shape you want because glue guns don't have super precise tips where the glue comes out.
Overall: 5/10 It was fun, but I don't really know what to do with the finished product.
Would I Do It Again?: Maybe, it was really easy and quick. So if I ever need to decorate something with snowflakes I know what to do!
