This week I made a DIY stress ball. I've not only seen this one on Pinterest, I've also seen it being made on youtube. I've been wanting to make this one for a little while now. Who doesn't need a stress ball honestly?
What you need for this project is clear balloons (I couldn't find just clear balloons so mine had a few polkadots on them), Orbeez, and and empty bottle. The first thing you want to do is to pour the Orbeez into the empty bottle and fill it up with water. There are no precise measurements here. Next, let the Orbeez soak in the water for a few hours or overnight. As you can see they grow a lot! Now you want to blow up the balloon and attach it to the top of the bottle. Now tip the bottle over and our the Orbeez into the balloon. Take the balloon off of the bottle, let out the excess air, tie it off, and you are done!
I'm very on the fence about this DIY. The ball turned out basically how it was supposed to and was very fun to squish around and play with and stuff. One minor thing about it is that the Orbeez didn't show through the balloon like it looks like they do in the pictures on Pinterest. Also I think I got more stress relief from playing with just the Orbeez outside of the balloon. I don't think there is a need for the balloon in this project.
RATINGS:
MESSINESS: 0/10 This was the least messy project. There were no components to this that have the potential to make a mess. The only thing to be aware of is to make sure the Orbeez don't roll away from you.
SIMPLICITY: 1/10 The steps for this pin were super simple and easy to follow and everything happened just like it was supposed to.
FUN: 7/10 I enjoyed this project a lot. I think the outcome was very fun to play with and squish around.
OVERALL: 9/10 This is a super easy, inexpensive, quick, and fun thing to make. Everything turned out how it was supposed to and I think that is always a plus when it comes to Pinterest.
WOULD I DO IT AGAIN?: yes definitely! I think if I wanted a stress ball I would definitely make this again. It was very fast and effortless to make why not?
